What is RC360 form?
The Saskatchewan Graduate Retention Program is a refundable tax credit for post-secondary graduates who live and work in Saskatchewan. The credit is equal to 10% of tuition fees paid, up to a maximum of $20,000.
What is RC360 form used for?
The Saskatchewan Graduate Retention Program tax form is a great way for recent graduates to reduce their tax burden and save money. By encouraging graduates to stay in Saskatchewan, the program helps to keep skilled workers in the province.
Graduates can claim the credit on their personal tax returns for the year in which they graduated. The credit can be carried forward for up to seven years.
To be eligible, graduates must:
- You were a resident of Saskatchewan on December 31, 2021
- You have not previously received a Saskatchewan Graduate Retention Program rebate
- You graduated from and apply within 7 years of finishing school (this means if you graduated in 2016, you have until April 30, 2022, to apply)
How to fill out RC360 form?
Before you start filling out the RC360 form, make sure you have all of the required information and documents. You'll need:
- your tuition fee receipts
- your proof of Saskatchewan residency (e.g., driver's license, lease agreement, utility bill)
- your proof of graduation (e.g., transcript, diploma)
If you have all of the required documentation, you can proceed to the next step. The next step is to complete the online application CRA RC360 form:
- The form will ask for personal information.
- Enter the information in the first line if you have applied for and received a GRP certificate for the 2021 tax year from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Advanced Education.
- You need to enter the amount you paid for your studies.
- Enter your 2021 Saskatchewan graduate tuition tax credit amount from your 2020 notice of assessment or reassessment.
- Calculate your discount amount.
How to apply for the Saskatchewan Graduate Retention Program?
To apply for the GRP, you must complete and submit the Saskatchewan Graduate Retention Program Application Form (RC360) to the Ministry of Finance. The application must be received within 24 months of your graduation date. The form can be found on the Ministry of Advanced Education website.
Government organizations that work with RC360 form?
The GRP is administered by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Finance and is available to any graduate who meets the eligibility criteria. To be eligible for the GRP, graduates must have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree at a recognized post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan and must be employed in Saskatchewan within 24 months of graduation.
