  • When are Forms 1099 due?

    Most Form 1099 recipient statements are generally due January 31. Some forms and statements, including Form 1099-B, Form 1099-DA, Form 1099-S, certain Form 1099-MISC statements, and consolidated statements, generally use February 15. IRS filing is separate: Form 1099-NEC is generally due January 31; most other Forms 1099 are generally due February 28 on paper or March 31 electronically. Weekend and legal-holiday rules may move a due date.

  • Can I paper-file a Copy A that I printed from a downloaded PDF?

    A Copy A printed from a downloaded PDF must not be paper-filed with the IRS when the form warns it is not scannable; use e-file, official scannable forms, or a Pub. 1179-compliant substitute.
