How to fill out the DD Form 2329?

The fillable DD Form 2329 consists of two pages and 13 fillable fields. In order to fill out the form properly, it is necessary to accurately follow the fields and record the necessary details of the trial.
The first three sections are devoted to the names of the accused, convening authority and summary court-martial with all the necessary details such as ranks, positions units and SSN’s.

Sections 4 and 5 are needed to record the preliminary proceedings and require you to check “yes” or “no” answers. These sections cover such important details as whether the summary court-martial informed the accused of the identity of the convening authority, the general nature of the charges and more. These sections basically cover all the preliminary proceedings from giving the accused a copy of the charge sheet to the accused pleading guilty or not guilty.

Sections 6 and 7 are filled with the corresponding information on the trial proceeding. Section 8 is one of the most important in the printable DD Form 2329. It is filed with all the charges and specifications, pleas and findings.
Sections 9 to 12 are devoted to the sentence adjudged and the authentication by summary court-martial. The last section of the DD Form 2329 is called “Action by Convening Authority” and is filled out by the convening authority.
