What is DD Form 1149?
DD Form 1149 is the Requisition and Invoice/Shipping Document.
PGI 253.208-1's MIPR instructions prescribe it for requisitioning items from other departments' stocks not covered by MILSTRIP.
For those stocks within MILSTRIP, they prescribe DD Form 1348/1348M; if requested items are found in stock after receipt of a MIPR, the acquiring department uses the MIPR.
