What is Ohio Concealed Carry Application?
The Ohio Concealed Carry Application form is an official document of the Ohio Attorney General that gathers personal information of an applicant. The approved application provides an applicant with legal permission for concealed carry of a weapon. It requires the name of the applicant and fair answers to 6 sections of questions. The form must be followed by an ID, 2 passport-sized photos, and a CCW Course certificate.

- Lets residents of the state of Ohio to apply for concealed carry of a weapon;
- Cannot be submitted by US citizens who became Ohio residents less than 45 days before the submission and residents of their home state less than 30 days before becoming Ohio residents;
- Cannot be used by residents younger than 21 y.o.
All Ohio residents who respond to the aforementioned requirements can apply for concealed carry anytime as there’s no deadline.
Filling out Ohio Concealed Carry Application
If your status meets the legal requirements, you have to find a certified instructor to pass a 12-hour course that is split into a 10-hour theoretical instruction and a 2-hour shooting range training. A certificate will be active for 3 years. Then you have to get the blanc of an application form in the nearest Sheriff’s office, on the Attorney General’s website, or elsewhere. It’s obligatory to answer all questions of the form before submitting it. Finally, send the ready form to the responsible office via Email or bring in to the nearest office. In no case, do not take your weapon to the office if you already have one. You also have to make an appointment in advance.
