How to Fill Out Testing Pool Water Form

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to fill out the water testing for pool template on the PDFliner website:

  1. Start by entering the name of the center and the pool at the top of the form where indicated.
  2. Fill in the date for the pool water testing in the space provided.
  3. Record the Prescribed Operating Range (POR) for your specific type of pool in the designated areas. Adjust these levels based on whether your pool is indoor or outdoor and the type of disinfection used.
  4. At the beginning of the day, enter "0.0 mg/L" for the Breakpoint Chlorine since it's the first test of the day.
  5. For each testing time (6 am, 9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm), fill in the temperature in Celsius, total chlorine (mg/L), free chlorine (mg/L), and combined chlorine (mg/L). Use the DPD 1+3 test for total chlorine and DPD 1 test for free chlorine.
  6. Subtract the free chlorine result from the total chlorine to determine the combined chlorine and note it in the "Total-Free" column.
  7. Enter the pH value, ensuring it is within the range of 7.0-7.8.
  8. Record the Total Alkalinity in mg/L, ensuring it falls within the range of 80-200 mg/L.
  9. Calculate the Calcium Hardness in mg/L and note any corrective actions taken.
  10. Sign the form in the "Name of tester" and "Signature of tester" sections after completing the testing. You can use the send to sign feature here.
  11. Weekly, measure and record the Cyanurate acid concentration and enter the date for this measurement.
  12. Calculate the Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) using the formula provided: pH + Temperature Factor + Calcium Hardness Factor + Alkalinity Factor - 12.1. Sign in the "Calculated by" section.
  13. In the Daily Maintenance Log, detail the maintenance activities undertaken, specify the time, and obtain the signature of the person who performed the maintenance.
  14. Ensure the facility manager reviews the data and corrective actions daily. Record any further action required, the manager's name, and signature along with the date.

Remember, the combined chlorine should not exceed 1 mg/L and should not be more than half the free chlorine level.
