What is Form MVR-63?
Form MVR-63 is the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) Power of Attorney form.
With it a buyer, seller or legal owner authorizes an attorney to sign for a vehicle title transfer, a duplicate title application or a new title application.
It may not be used when a lienholder holds the title: titles held physically or electronically by a lienholder require MVR-63A, Secure Power of Attorney.

Completing and submitting it
The form has a "FULL SIGNATURE OF OWNER" field.
In the notarial acknowledgment, the notary certifies that the principals personally appeared and acknowledged voluntarily signing for the stated purpose and capacity.
