What is Form 2304?

Form 2304 BIR is a one-page document used in the Philippines to declare tax-free payments between individuals and businesses. All certificates received from payers during the year must be attached to payees' tax returns.

What do I need the BIR 2304 for?

  • Every tax-free income in the Philippines must be properly declared. Payers provide such certificates to payees after each transaction.
  • If payments do not fall under the tax-free category, they must be indicated in the tax return for individuals (Form 1701) or legal persons (Form 1702). In this case, there is no need to fill in the 2304 Form.

How to Fill Out BIR Form 2304?

  1. Specify the year of payment and fill in information about its recipient: personal or business name, TIN, and full address. Fill in the table with payer data: name, TIN, and registration address.
  2. The next section is divided into two identical parts. Fill them in depending on whether the payments were made to the individual or corporate payee.
  3. Enter interests, pension payments, rents, prizes, etc. In addition to pre-specified types of expenses, you can enter any others in the free lines.
