What is form I-360?

Immigration form I-360, titled Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, is a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) document that enables specific groups of eligible non-US nationals to make sure they are classified appropriately. The classification is needed for obtaining a green card or permanent residency.

What I need form I-360 for?

1. You need to complete USCIS form I-360 for legal classification as one of the following:
   • a widow(er) of a deceased US citizen,
   • an Amerasian, or
   • a special immigrant (this category includes religious workers, Panama Canal company employees, NATO-6 civilian employees, and more).
2. You are not eligible for the I-360 form meaning you do not need to complete it if you do not belong to any of the above categories.

How to fill out form I-360?

You can complete form I-360 online or find a printable version and fill it out by hand. The former approach is encouraged for waste reduction purposes. You can find a fillable I-360 form pdf online.

The form consists of two pages. On the first page, you must enter your personal details (if you are filing it as an individual) under Part 1. The first section is to be filled out by the USCIS.

The second page serves the purpose of identifying the classification that you are requesting. Make sure you only tick one box in the classification category section.
